so as a follow up to the previous post, today i received the final mastered version of "between you & me" and it has been sent out to be sold online through pretty much every digital outlet (ie itunes, etc). i am pretty excited since this is step in a new direction for take today. the song happens to be one of our older songs, something that never carried over through all of the line up changes and such. originally i was recording the song acoustic to be released as a solo effort but when i was in the studio, we talked a lot about different recording techniques and somehow we transformed the idea into what is now is. the decision to release it as take today comes from pretty much where we had intended to go from the last ep. however, the recording itself is only me (vocals, guitars, bass, keyboard) and don bush (drums). don did a bulk of the recording with jay doing the usual nonsense. i'll probably work on a section of the site for indivudual songs so you can learn more, haha. special thanks go to don bush, jason grosse @ 1021 studios, bill henderson @ azimuth mastering, brenda stetser, ian webster, and nicholas reed. if you wanna know why? ask me? ha!
